Donzai(Fardeen) is a rich spoilt brat. However he gets a rude shock to learn that he can only retain the wealth of his late father if he marries the daughter of his father's friend. So NRI boy flies back to India and marries Samarpreet (Ishita) before he decides to pack and flee.
Samarpreet tracks down her hubby to Trinidad only to find that she has been conned. Thankfully she meets supermodel Shimmer (Sushmita Sen) who revamps the village belle to a diva. The new look Samarpreet even manages to fool Tej.
The rest of the plot involves Shimmer getting the two together., and ofcourse with a little help from her doting boyfriend (Shahrukh Khan).
When you have a SRK movie that even the SRK fans are running away from, we know we are in trouble. The film finally makes it to the theatres, though it has been in the making for quite a long time. However that necessarily does not mean a bad thing.
However when you have such uninspiring writing as the base of all this, it is bound to limp and with that goes all the chance of redeeming itself at the box office. There is little even brand SRK can do to salvage that.
THE PANEL ROOM rating 2/5
Dulha Mil Gaya is regressive and stale. Anupama Chopra (NDTV) 2/5
you often wonder, why someone would spend this kind of money on a brain-dead script like DMG? Meena Iyer (Mumbaimirror) 2/5
if it's not entirely unwatchable, you have Sushmita Sen to thank! Rajeev Masand (IBNLive) 2/5
New director Mudassar Aziz comes from the old school of filmmaking who puts no lateral thinking in his conventional-to-the-core writing and direction. Gaurav Malani (Indiatimes) 1.5/5
