WEEKEND 15-17 JANUARY, 2010 (USA)
Still standing tall at the top slot is the Cameron sci-fi extravaganza AVATAR earning yet another 41.3 million to bring its tally to $491.80 million.
With this AVATAR moves up to No.3 in the all-time rankings displacing STAR WARS. The only other movies are TITANIC and THE DARK KNIGHT.
This week's release THE BOOK OF ELI also puts in a decent show at No.2 with $31.60 million. THE LOVELY BONES from Peter Jackson also managed around $ 17 million of ticket sales as it opened wide this weekend.
