DELHI 6 : The MoviemagiK review

cast: Abhishek Bachchan, Sonam Kapoor, Waheeda Rehman, Rishi Kapoor, Atul Kulkarni, Om Puri
Music by A R Rahman
Directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra

DELHI 6, is director Rakeysh Om Prakash Mehra's follow up to the hugely popular RANG DE BASANTI. This time Mehra is still playing with colours, as he uses it to show us our ownshortcomings as a society.
A few months ago Shyam Benegal did the same way by welcoming us to Sajjanpur. Mehra though, decides to take us through Old Delhi for the same..
Definitely the expectations are bound to be sky high but will Rakeysh manage to live up to it.

THE PANEL ROOM

The writing seems to be clear. This is getting a hard time from the critics and chances are that the viewers also won\t be making things any easier for the DELHI 6 gang. Rakeysh OmPrakash Mehra will definitely have to go back to the drawing board and come up with something fresh next time around.

..leaves the audience rudderless, because there isn't a single character to emotionally connect with. - Raja Sen /REDIFF 2/5
DELHI 6 has a terribly boring beginning [first hour], an absorbing middle [second half] and a weak end [climax]. Taran Adarsh / Bollywood Hungama 1.5/5

The muddled message and the frustrating climax aside, it's a film with heart. Rajeev Masand / IBN LIVE 3/5

the film is a noble failure. Delhi 6 is ambitious and well-intentioned, but good intentions don’t always translate into good cinema. Anupama Chopra / NDTV

What on earth is this hotchpotch picture? Mayank Shankar/ Mumbai mirror
