Brad Bird, the creative genius behind comic gems like Iron Giant, Incredibles and the recent Ratatouille, is all set to take on live action for the first time.
It shall be a thriller titled 1906 and is set against the San Francisco earthquake of the same year.
The story centers on a college student who begins to investigate the murder of his father, uncovering a web of deceit that has left the city vulnerable to the sort of fire that breaks out when the Great Earthquake of 1906 hits San Francisco.
The script was originally drafted by John Logan but Brad would look at starting the same thing afresh for this co-production venture between Pixar/ Disney and Warner Bros.
