UPDATED March 21: Makeup expert Rick Baker shares his side of the story in bringing the fame Wolfman to the bigscreen. You may check the interview at EW
Mark Romanek left the movie all of a sudden, but the project Wolfman is still very much on. Now that the studioUniversal has got a stand-in director Joe Johnston (Jurrasic Park3, Jumanji), we get back to the casting news.
The film is a remake of the 1941 horror movie classic that brought the character of Wolfman to the screens. It tells the tale of Lawrence Talbot who on getting bitten by a wolf soons finds that he is cursed for the one he got bitten was no ordinary wolf, but a werewolf which carries the age-old curse making Talbot turn into a beast with a lust for murder.
The film certainly has a list of some potential actors that makes a movie look a lot more interesting than the cheesy title.
Benecio del Toro stars in the lead role while Anthony Hopkins has been cast as his father. If that is not news enough, now Hugo Weaving too has been weaved in to play the role of detective Aberline. Now that should be good news for Weaving means the project should bring in big bucks. So Wolverine is indeed a welcome addition to Weavings' list that includes Matrix trilogy, LOTR triloy, Happy Feet, V for Vendetta and even last summer's Transformers!
