ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT: The movie??
It was bound to happen, especially since actors from the TV show like Bateman and Michael Cera having wonderful years at the movies. And it seems like it will happen indeed. The creative minds behind the hit series Arrested Development , that is Ron Howard and Mitch Hurwitz are in talks at getting an Arrested Development movie rolling. The cast is excited, the makers are willing and studios are interested too...so why not, eh? source: Eonline!


STALLONE TO ACTION TWO MORE!

It certainly ain't over! Stallone is not going to throw in the towels easily, for now it seems that he is already in talks to sign a two film deal with his Rambo producers Avi Lerner, Trevor Short of Nu Image/ Millennium Films. While talks are on about more Rambo sequels on its way, Stallone has clearly told that both his Rocky and Rambo franchises are over and that he does not want to revisit these two screen icons. So as far as Stallone is concerned, he is creatively satisfied with the direction that these two movies took. However from a commercial point of view, the producers will be eyeing on cashing in on Stallone's iconic symbol. source: Hollywood Reporter


MORE SEVEN PUNDS CASTING NEWS
Michael Ealy is the latest to join the cast of Columbia’s Seven Pounds, a feature film that will see the duo of Will Smith and director Gabriele Muccino teaming up once again after The Pursuit of Happiness. The other cast members include Rosario Dawson and Woody Harrelson.

Seven Pounds tells the story of a suicidal IRS agent who decides to make amends by assuming the identity of his younger brother. However things get complicated when he ends up falling in love.

Michael Ealy meanwhile is having a great run in showbiz after just finishing his work in a Spike Lee war epic Miracle at St. Annas as well as on the mini series The People Speak which sees Healy enact the role of Malcolm X. source: Hollywood Reporter



GHOSTS OF GIRLFRIENDS PAST


More casting news for the new romantic comedy from New Line. Titled The Ghosts of Girlfriends Past, it tells the story of Connor, a womanizer who attends the wedding of his younger brother, only to end up in a stick situation having to deal with several of his ex-flames. Mathew Mcconaughey plays the lead role of Connor, while other cast members include Jennifer Garner, Breckin Meyer, Lacey Chabert, Amanda Walsh and Emma Stone. source: Hollywood Reporter



JOHNSTON TO DIRECT WOLFMAN
Last week we came to know that Universal’s 100 million project Wolfman had no director when Romanek quit over creative differences. But then everyone was losing sleepless nights with the word out that Brett Ratner would be the likely replacement. However the nights are not getting any better. Universal has put up the name of visual master Joe Johnstons’ name for the hot seat. Hidalgo? Jumanji? Jurrasic Park 3? . source: Variety
