PAZHANI
Cast: Bharath, Kajal Aggarwal, Kushboo, Biju Menon, Aishwarya
Music: Srikanth Deva
Direction: Perarasu
Bharath decides to prove that he has everything that a top actor needs. So now after impressing us all with his acting talents, decides to do one better by trying to be the man who can do it all with one of those masala flicks. And that too with director Perarasu who believes that it is formula that works. So with an eye for the B and C centers, director Perarasu comes with the cliches- doing everything formulaic and hoping to still get the cash registers to ring.
PAZHANI shows our hero, a 10 year old kid, going to prison for killing his fathers' keep trying to protect the honour of his mother and sister.
Years later when he comes out of jail, he realises that his sister hates him. However she too is in a position that his mother was years back trying to battle with the problems of her marital life. So our hero decides to win back his sisters love and set things right for her. In between some comedy, dance and romance!
Pros: Has all the masala ingredients. Talents of Bharat and the supporting cast of Kushboo and Biju Menon.
Cons: Too many fights. Illogical sequences, cliche from start to finish with nothing new!
BEHINDWOODS have been kind enough to call the movie a winner for the smaller centers, while INDIAGLITZ clearly warns that this is not for anyone who does not like the Perarasu brand of entertainer.
REDIFF meanwhile outright blasts this one away!
