The news out there is that Aishwarya Rai has finally agreed to be the heroine for ROBOT opposite Rajinikanth.
It was kinda coming since Ash was going ga-ga recently how much she wishes for a tamil flick since it is the Tamil industry that gave her the break with Mani Ratnam's IRUVAR and Shankar's JEANS.
On the other hand you had Rajinikanth who has been always trying to rope in Ash opposite him. Aishwarya was one of the first names that is thrown up everytime Rajini announces a film.
However this time the makers of ROBOT seems to have clinched the deal for a whopping 1.5 crores making it the highest an actress has got in India. Behindwoods and Indiaglitz have confirmed this news...so looks like this time it is for real.
So good luck for the sci fi flick which is sure to have a budget of nearly 125 crores. That is expected when you have director Shankar at the helm of things. This Rajini starrer will obviously have an A R Rahman soundtrack, and Ayngaran International is producing this flick in Tamil, Telegu and Hindi.
